Aston Martin’s chief denies sale reports

Aston Martin

The head of United Kingdom-based Aston Martin, Dr. Ulrich Bez, has denied reports that the brand is being sold to another automaker.

Bez made the announcement at the launch of the new Vanquish, but did leave open the possibility of the brand being sold in the future.

The company has been operating independently for around six years now, following a period when Ford owned it. It is likely to move forward with its more upscale Lagonda brand, which is seen as an asset by its potential suitors.
