Porsche to launch 991-based GT3 at 2012 Geneva Motor Show

Porsche AG (Xetra; POR3) (FWB :P OR3), a Germany-based automaker, is launching its new 991-based GT3 at the Geneva Motor Show, scheduled for March next year.

According to the latest reports, the vehicle will be available for sale soon after its launch at the auto show.

AutoCar has reported that vehicle will be equipped with a 3.8-litre, naturally aspirated flat-six cylinder engine, coupled with its seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. It features wider body work and more aggressive aero structures, a sculpted front bumper, wider air ducts for better cooling of the engine, and an extra air intake between the top of the front bumper and the hood/boot lid.
