Bentley, a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG (Xetra: VW), is equipping its 2013 Continental GT and Continental GTC convertible models with the same eight-speed gearbox as the Continental GT Speed and GT V8.
The transmission is produced by Germany-based ZF. Autocar has reported that the vehicles are to arrive at United States dealerships in October 2012.
The GT returns a combined 19.5MPG on the European test cycle, and the eight-speed GTC returns 19MPG.
