Germany- based BMW AG’s (Xetra: BMW) ‘I’ sub-division has revealed details of the new i3 electric vehicle.
The vehicle is to be launched at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled for this September. It has been developed under the codename, Megacity, and the automaker will start production of the vehicle in late 2013.
The model is to ride on the company’s new LifeDrive architecture. It features natural fibres and naturally tanned leathers seats and is equipped with an electric motor that drives the rear axle.
