Citroen, a France-based automaker, is planning to withdraw its range-topping C6 sedan by the end of 2012.

The vehicle was launched in February 2005 and is named as an alternative to German luxury sedans like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

The automaker has reportedly received around 500 orders for the vehicle in the first eleven months of 2012. The most successful year for the vehicle was in 2007, where the sales were at 7,600 units.
