Land Rover reveals details of experimental Electric Defender


Land Rover, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited (NYSE: TTM), has revealed details of the experimental Electric Defender.

The vehicle is to be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next week, and the firm’s Advanced Engineering division has developed it.

The model is based on the diesel-powered long-wheelbase variant of the body-on-frame SUV. It is equipped with a 330-volt lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor that delivers 243lb-ft. of torque.
