Land Rover, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited (NYSE: TTM), has upgraded its Defender for the 2013 model year.

The new model features a revamped interior that includes redesigned front seats that are claimed to be more ergonomic, and a new sound system that comes with a USB port, a more powerful stereo linked to Alpine speakers, and a Bluetooth connectivity system. The automaker has added two new colours to the Defender range, a black called Borolo and a brown known as Havana. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that produces 122bhp and 265lb-ft. of torque, coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.

The vehicle is to be unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
