Toyota recalls 561,000 units of Prius hybrid

Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE: TM)(LSE: TYT) (TYO: 7203), a Japan-based automaker, is recalling 561,000 units of its Prius hybrid vehicles.

The recalled vehicles are from the 2004-2009 model years.

The automaker is recalling the vehicles for a possible defect with the hybrid’s steering system.
