Volvo Car Corporation, a Sweden-based automaker, is launching the diesel version of its V60 Plug-In at the 2013 New York auto show.
The vehicle is equipped with a 2.4-litre D5 turbodiesel engine driving the front wheels, and an electric motor powering the rear axle, giving the hybrid all-wheel drive. It covers 31 miles in electric-only mode and is capable of 130mpg in hybrid mode.
The automaker has not revealed the United States launch date or pricing for the vehicle.
