Citroen to develop successor to 2CV in Madrid

2 CV

Citroen, a France-based automaker, has confirmed that it is to develop the successor to the 2CV in Madrid, Spain, before the end of 2013.

The new model will be offered with the minimum amount of equipment needed for a car to operate and protect its occupants, and will not have features like touch screen, a start/stop system or adaptive cruise control.

According to certain reports, the vehicle is to be unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model is to arrive at European dealerships in early 2014.
