Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), a United States-based automaker, has launched the production version of its Euro-spec Ecosport compact crossover at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The vehicle is to be equipped with SYNC AppLink, which enables customers to voice-control smartphone apps from the driver’s seat. It is based on the same architecture as the sub-compact Ford Fiesta. It will be available with a choice of a 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine that delivers around 125bhp, a 110bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces around 90bhp.
The automaker will announce the SUV’s pricing closer to its market launch.
