Mercedes-Benz to sell B-Class hatchback as EV in US

Mercedes-Benz, a subsidiary of Daimler AG (Xetra: DAI) (FWB: DAI), is planning to sell its compact B-Class hatchback as an electric vehicle in the United States.

The vehicle is likely to be the same as the concept car that made its world debut at the Paris Motor Show.

The production vehicle will use an electric motor that delivers 134bhp and 229lb-ft of torque, and has an operational range of 125 miles.
