Nissan to produce Leaf at Sunderland UK plant

Nissan Motor Company (NASDAQ: NSANY)(TYO:7201), a Japan-based automaker, is producing its Leaf electric car at its Sunderland, UK, factory in the spring.

Changes to the model have extended its range, while adjustments have been made to make the driving experience more suited to European tastes.

The new model covers a range of 124 miles and will be available in three trim levels, Visia, Acenta and Tekna.
