Nissan sells 50,000th Leaf electric vehicle


Nissan Motor Company (NASDAQ: NSANY) (TYO: 7201), a Japan-based automaker, has achieved the milestone of selling its 50,000th Leaf electric vehicle.

The vehicle went on sale three years ago, and is now offered in various world markets.

The 50,000 Leafs have travelled more than 162 million petrol-free miles.
